Okay, how do I make it work? The lever is at the bottom of the slide bar, but if I move it up with the cursor, it just drops back down again as soon as I release the cursor. Thanks.

This would be very useful to VoIP users as a volume control for your older headphones without a volume control. V2.0 only seemed to control the main output. Perhaps an option screen could be added?

Oops, that's supposed to be USB headphones.

I have looked everywhere for a simple VU meter that will show what is playing on my speakers. That's all I want. L/R meter would be good, but a single channel would do. I am hard of hearing and I want a visual aid to what I am trying to hear. Can anyone help? Audacity sort of works if I cable my output to my input (which engenders feedback unless the volume is reduced), but it is more complicated than I want.

Like it! Does the job well controls the volume.

Nice widget, but would be better if it didn't reset the balance. I'm slightly deaf in one ear and tilt the balance to accommodate.

Hi there, I'm starting out in Cocoa development, and I wanted to ask you where you got the "OutputVolumePlugin.bundle" or whether you made it yourself? Could you help point me in the right direction in developing a similar style plugin? Please drop me a line at rdas7 [at] mac.com thanks!

Hi Richard. I did develop that bundle myself - I'll follow up with an email to you directly.

What a nice widget!! There is only thing...that bothers me. It is the "quack" sound it makes after adjusting the volume. Is there a way to turn it off?
